A blend of Viura and Chardonnay, Faustino I Blanco Gran Reserva represents another step forward from the fourth generation of the Martínez Zabala family, bringing modernity, innovation, and boldness. This wine is only produced in years when the quality of grapes is exceptional. Separate alcoholic fermentation of Viura and Chardonnay in new American and French oak barrels for 3 weeks with different natural yeasts from the vineyard to achieve various nuances. Bâtonnage is performed twice a day at the start of fermentation to increase flavor complexity and balance. Both varieties are aged separately for 6 months in new French (60%) and American (40%) oak barrels, with bâtonnage to impart complexity and creaminess. The wine spends the rest of its time in bottle in the Faustino cellars. Golden lemon in color. Very intense and complex on the, showing predominant aromas of peach and apricot, along with floral and tropical hints of mango and pineapple, perfectly combined with nuances of oak aging. On the palate, it is fresh with excellent acidity and a finish marked by its fruity character.
