Italo Cescon has been producing wines in the Veneto since 1957, as the year stamp on the back of the bottle in glass proudly states. Fruit for this wine comes from the Friuli Grave district, where Pinot Grigio has long been known to thrive thanks to a cool climate and gravelly, alluvial soil. It was aged for six months on the lees and three months in bottle before release. An elegant nose of peach and citrus aromas accented by nutmeg leads to a crisp, well-rounded palate with pear and stone fruit flavors laced with orange zest. Refreshing as an aperitif and well-matched to seafood, salads (especially Ceasar salad), white fish and meats, and delicate risottos.
