A super wine with a beautifully matured nose of red and black fruits, subtle aromas of cranberries, and mineral notes with a hint of vainilla and a fine edge of spice. The palate is ripe and big, mouth filling and smooth. Very structured with an elegant finish.
Grapes are sourced from a selection of the best grapes from vine stocks with an average age of 60 years. The 50 ha of vineyards are located in different plots around four villages in the Rioja Alavesa: Samaniego, Leza, Elciego, and Laguarda. Harvested manually, followed by a careful sorting of the grapes at the winery. The Malolactic fermentation took place in new French oak barriques (74%) and American oak (26%), followed by 27 months of ageing. Bottling without fining or filtration.
